GAIN SKILLS TO PROVIDE PERSON-CENTRED SUPPORT TO PEOPLE WITH A DISABILITY
CHCSS00130 Individual Support – Disability Skill Set is for people working in various care and support roles in the community services industry who wish to develop the skills necessary to support people with a disability.
This Skill Set reflects the skill requirements for providing person-centred support to people with disability in various settings.
Gain the skills and knowledge to assist with the ongoing skill development of a person with a disability. Learn how to assist with supporting people with a disability in community participation and social inclusion using a person-centred approach. Develop skills to facilitate the empowerment of people with a disability and implement behaviour support strategies outlined in individualised behaviour support plans.
The units of study in this Skill Set provide credit towards a range of qualifications in the CHC Community Services Training Package.

CHCSS00130 Individual Support – Disability Skill Set
The Skill Set is awarded by Skills Generation RTO 41008, with training and assessment delivered by Skills Generation or an approved Third-Party training provider on behalf of Skills Generation.
CHCSS00130 Individual Support – Disability Skill Set is available for groups and can be completed either in a classroom setting or online. This Skill Set is available upon request and delivered in a mode that best suits the needs of your group. Please contact our friendly team to discuss how we can get you started.
This Skill Set is suitable for people who hold a qualification at Certificate III level or higher in Community Services, Health or related field, work in various care and support roles and who wish to develop skills in providing person-centred support to people with disability.
Those who are currently working or have worked in a relevant industry, may be eligible for Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL). Please give us a call and we can talk through your particular needs with you.
MAKING AN INVESTMENT IN YOUR PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT
This course currently attracts government funding for eligible students. Students who access funded training pay a co-contribution fee that represents a small fraction of the total course fee!
Eligibility criteria for funding can be found on our Funding and Fees page or contact us to discuss your circumstances and determine your eligibility.
Students who are not eligible for subsidised training pay the full course fee.
