“Whether through genetics or training, scientists say, even mere mortals can develop extraordinary abilities.”
If you wonder what that means, look no further than our Skills Generation Trainers and students in Certificate III Individual Support!
Training to gain skills in the booming care services sector, our graduates are helping to power our future, keeping the economy strong and sharing in its prosperity.
“Training has the power to change lives, and what greater way to awaken your inner power than to be in the service of someone who needs your support to harness their own.”
In 2024/25 three cohorts of Skills Generation students completed CHC33021 Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing and Disability), each student receiving Queensland Government subsidised funding through the Skilling Queenslanders for Work program.
Students learned the important knowledge and skills needed for careers as Support Workers in the booming care sector.
Practical skills include Dementia Therapy, First Aid, Infection Control Practices, Shaving and personal care, Testing for diabetes and blood glucose levels and Manual Handling – transferring clients, slide sheets, rolling and repositioning and hoist use.
Our Individual Support students complete 120-hours practical work placement and the strong connections they make with industry through practical hands-on experience supports them to make informed career and employment choices.
Skilled workers are more likely to be employed, earn a higher income and be engaged in our community. If you want to become skilled and ready to respond to power our care workforce, the Certificate III in Individual Support will empower you to follow a career pathway to a rewarding job.
Government funding for eligible students is broadly available for those enrolling in CHC33021 Certificate III in Individual Support, in recognition of the care sector being a priority growth industry in need of a pipeline of skilled workers.
